Really not prepared. Plus, I’m really hating my crappy mood.
Last midterm of the year tomorrow.
And I’m feeling quite unprepared. I definitely checked out before we left for Hawaii and my head is still in paradise.
Just before our Organic Chemistry lab final...
Classmate: OMG, I'm so stressed out for this test.
Me: I know, me too. I didn't know how to study and I got back last night around 11pm so I'm so tired.
Classmate: Oh, where did you go?
Me: Well, since class was cancelled last Friday and we had that 4 day weekend, I decided to go to Hawaii.
Me: Yeah, you know. Take a little break before the last round of midterms and finals.
Classmate: A BREAK IS LIKE ... A FACIAL! NOT A WEEKEND IN HAWAII.
Well, I must admit: Night #2 of The Voice Live Shows was definitely superior to night #1. I did not know ANY of the songs Blake chose for his team but dayam, I LOVED ALL OF THEM!!!! And I don’t even listen to country music. But I will after tonight. Last night, I voted for Michelle Chamuel. She definitely had that “breakthrough” moment and frankly, she’s the only...
The Proton Resurgence
This last week’s episode of The Big Bang Theory was abso-friggin-lutely great! The scenes with Professor Proton made me laugh and cry and laugh again. I watched it twice in two days. :) And, I can’t even decide which line was my favorite. I really hope Professor Proton comes back! Also, on a side note, did anyone else get excited that Leonard and Sheldon has Longclaw by the side of...
I thought I was doing so well without you. Now I don’t know how to respond. Scratch that. I don’t know how I feel.
Since finals week is approaching, I’ve done my usual “calculate my grade in each class and what I have to get on whatever’s left to get an A in the class” thing. Anyway, I’m doing pretty well in U.S. History right now (geez, does this class even count?) and if I get an 80% or more on Essay #3 and the final, I’m good. Organic Chemistry is a different story. For...
While my family and I watched Wednesday's episode...
Girl 1 [to Sir Chief]: Hi, are you Matthew? [I forgot the name she used!]
Sir Chief: No.
Girl 1: Well, I'm ... [Again, sorry, I forgot the name she used]
Sir Chief: Uhmm, sorry, someone's waiting for me. [Sir Chief walks towards Maya]
Girl 2: I can't believe di-ned-ma ka lang.
My dad [To the TV]: ANG PANGIT MO KASI
OMG, I died laughing.
Oh my gee, Sir Chief!!
You are ruining life for girls right now. No one can live up to how awesome of a boyfriend you would be!!!!
I may have guessed my Unknown incorrectly. There goes two lab grades! *sigh*
One of the hardest things for me to do is to get up for class on Fridays. Especially for organic chemistry lecture. It definitely makes it worthwhile though, when you get your midterm back and find out you got a 90%. 90%, wha?! Y. E. S! Such a great way to start the weekend.
4 more weeks...
…till the end of the semester. I. Cannot. Wait.
So after doing terrible on my organic chemistry midterm #2, we got our lab midterm back today and I got a whopping 94.2%. Yes, every point counts! Haha! Totally made my day (I know, I need to get a life!). Now, let’s just see how midterm #3 turns out, shall we? Cross fingers. I don’t want to jinx it or anything but I have high hopes for myself. Haha.
Ok so of the 6 things I posted last week of the things that I had to do, I have only accomplished 3 of them. End of the semester procrastination really kicks me in the butt.
the 50th birthday cake →
I’ve been posting a lot of pink lately (probably more often that I even realize) so I thought I’d mix it up a little and this time, go green! This year was my Ninang (Godmother) Candy’s 50th birthd… Continuing the green theme!
My Ninang who lives in SC that I haven’t seen in over 10 years is coming to visit this weekend and I’m super excited to see her. The downside is that there’s so much to do before then! Organic chemistry qualitative analysis (aka my unknown, which I am STILL not sure of! Study for organic chemistry midterm 3: aldehydes, ketones, carboxylic acids and their derivatives. Class...
Today, I had a date with the gbf. We grabbed some food, coffee and watched a movie. We were meant to watch G.I. Joe for Channing Tatum, but we heard that Duke dies within the first 10 minutes of the film. And frankly, I don’t see how a G.I. Joe movie happens without Duke. So instead, we decided to see Olympus Has Fallen. I thought it was hilarious that we went and saw such a guy flick. It...
It’s lame, but is it a coincidence that I wake up this morning with a message from my boxing coach whom I haven’t talked to since early January…and right before I sleep I happen to be flipping channels and come across the Donaire fight…who I happed to be sitting behind on the plane to Manila…which is where my boxing coach is? I think not. I mean, iy probably doesn’t mean anything but it’s...
bluemonsterrrr: This is so worth the click. Promise. Haha …and you’re welcome! :P This totally made my evening.
Lunch with the boys
Had lunch with Daddy and J today. Some bits were…awkward. But it was still really good to see them. We just need more things to talk about now that none of us work at the same place anymore. Somehow, making fun of our other coworkers is getting old because we don’t have any new material. Lame. Though, the way it ended was a little surprise. I don’t know what to make of it....
So our prof randomly gave us numbers today to determine the order for our group presentations. Of course, we get #1. Luckily, my group is pretty good and I’m sure we can be ready and pull it off next week. It’s just…totally nerve racking!!! I just have to keep thinking that we will have no one to be compared to as we’re going first and at least we’re gonna get it over...
Our prof came into class late again today. I hate that because it always gives us false hope that he may not show up and we can leave. But after a second of that glorious hope, I remember that if class gets cancelled, he would definitely email us, so then it all comes crashing down again. Haha. On the upside, he came in and said we had six weeks of school left. Six weeks. Yesssss!
I no longer miss him so much. The only problem is, I don’t know where to go from here.
Beach Sundays Revived
Fun day at the beach with the family! It made me miss Sydney, but at least it was nice to get out.
